Alexis Djimramadji is the Principal Consultant of GreenLex Energy Consulting, bringing his legal expertise and deep knowledge of the energy sector to states, public institutions and stakeholders in the oil and gas industry.
A lawyer specialised in energy law, oil and gas legislation, natural resource governance and contract law, he has significant experience in legal analysis, drafting, negotiation and renegotiation of contracts, as well as in strategic advisory for public institutions. His career includes work on oil contracts and the defence of the state's economic and strategic interests.
An academic path shaped around energy
His expertise is built on an academic path rooted in law and increasingly focused on energy issues. He holds a Master's degree in Energy Law – Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy from Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen), with training covering the regulatory frameworks applicable to the oil and natural gas sectors as well as the environmental compliance challenges of the energy industry.
He also holds a Master's in Judicial Law and a Bachelor's in Private Law from Université Joseph Ki-Zerbo in Ouagadougou, which form the foundation of his legal practice and command of contractual, judicial and regulatory matters. These qualifications are complemented by several certifications, notably in insurance law and banking law, broadening his understanding of the legal, financial and institutional challenges facing large-scale enterprises and projects.
A dual international recognition
A member of the Barreau du Québec, Alexis Djimramadji has also undertaken a legal qualification at Université de Montréal, deepening his knowledge of the Canadian and international legal systems, as well as methods for analysing legislative, regulatory and case-law texts.
